Some Lie and Some Die

It all happens around the periphery of a music festival, where we find a body. In Kingsmarkham is living, or has come down to live, a great star, played by Peter Capaldi, a very fine actor. But he’s also a good singer, because he stood up and sang in front of the audience of a real music festival crowd, and was very well received.

George Baker 2

John Burden’s hero, the rock star Zeno, comes to Kingsmarkham to perform at the Sunday’s Festival. The event passes peacefully until a young woman is murdered. Why was the dead girl wearing someone else’s clothes? And could a secret relationship have led to her death?
